So often people on Twitter telling other people that their investment is stupid or makes no sense. Let me learn you a little. People spend their disposable money on 5 things that aren’t considered “investments”
- Things that remind them of their childhood
- Things that make them smile when they pick it up or think about it
- Things that take them away from their everyday life
- Things that make others think they are special
- Things that they think others want
Before I buy something I look to see if it falls into one of those categories. Almost everything does. If it doesn’t I don’t buy it. I have purchased several NFTs but only the apes fall into these categories. For me its 2, 4, and 5. The camels and all the other animals don’t check any of the 5 boxes for me. People think spending $50K plus on a Crypto punk but that that super checks boxes 4 and 5. You put a punk on your twitter feed and it means you’re either in crypto since 2017 or you’re a whale. Or both. But it represents a lot to a lot of people. To some owning a punk is better than owning a Ferrari. They get more attention than a car. And they don’t have to pay for maintenance.
So if you think something is stupid see if it represents any of the 5 above. If it does, it may be worth a lot to someone

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
