Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday, October 13th , 2021

Sold a name for five figures yesterday which was my first domain sale of October. September was OK. Enough to pay the bills but I need to end the year strong if I am going to hit my goal of making $1000 a day. That’s nothing for many domain investors but for me its a big deal. I remember 20 years ago when my goal was to make $300 a month and I was over the moon when I did. I bragged to my wife how I was paying for the Internet and all my online expenses through the Internet. You’ve heard me say it a million times but I literally built everything I have. Every domain, every stock, every NFT from nothing. It all started with a free Blogger account and me writing. Putting ads on the site, getting traffic. Eventually selling the site and buying some domains. Start writing about domains and selling domains. Using money to buy stock. Selling some stock to buy NFTs. All while never spending one single penny of my “real job” money which has gone to retirement. I love it, I’m proud of it and I worked thousands of hours to accomplish it.

Some people say I only talk about the good stuff on here. That’s because its been almost all good. I have zero to complain about. Have I made some mistakes? Lots of them. Writing about buying bad names isn’t necessary. You all are great at that. Telling you how to buy good NFTs. Nobody really cares. My journey has been somewhere between Elliot Silver and Morgan Linton. One focused on doing one thing well and crushing it. The other has thrown a million darts and had a great time throwing them. Some he crushed, some he moved on. It’s been fun to read about the next big thing Morgan is in to. I’m a little of both. I never tried to be anything but me. Alan Dunn points out that I get spicy. Adam Strong points out I’m too sensitive. Michael Cyger points out I rub people the wrong way some times. Yup, yup, yup. That’s me. That’s all of us. Each day can make us lean a little one way. Today I am grateful. Grateful for everything I have, everything I’ve built, and everyone who cares about me. I earned much of it but still thankful. Because there are those that have millions of dollars and great things around them but no happiness. If happiness is wealth then there is no richer domain investor than me. And its not because of the big sale. OK maybe that’s part of this giddy opening.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

  1. Hi Shane, as you know I have followed this Blog since day one, years and years ago. I only rarely comment. Thanks again for the awesome Posts, ones like today where you talk real numbers are great. I realize there is an element of privacy in domaining, so when you open the books, its really insightful and inspiring! I have made some great money too this year, buying from your daily lists and flipping them. Keep pushing ahead pal! BTW…..the Marpac Sleep Machine you recommended a few weeks ago is outstanding! -Mike Maillet, Toronto CANADA
