DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Monday 9/1

Escrow.com

Raymond Hackney of TheDomains.com had a nice article asking what his reader’s opinions of whether numerics are going up from here.  I tried to post a comment but didn’t make it through so I’ll say it here.   The answer in my opinion is Yes.  Posted were the top numeric sales from 4.cn and after only a few months old they are already outdated.   Just this week 4.cn had three numeric sales over $100K which were much higher than the highest sales a few months ago.  Plain and simple, the Chinese market has a lot of money to invest and they deem numerics as an asset.  As long as that holds, numerics will continue to climb in value indefinitely.  In China you are allowed to own one other home other than you main residence and millions of people have purchased apartments in cities as an investment.  If you go to these cities there are giant new buildings with absolutely nobody living in them.  Every single one is purchased as investment because that is one of their only choices in Chinese real estate.   European and American real estate has become the investment of choice lately, driving the commercial real estate prices to highs that haven’t been seen in a while.  Numerics domains are no different.  So again in short, prices absolutely will continue to rise in certain categories of numerics.  You just have to know which ones.  Those in the US enjoy your holiday day.

Attic.net   For the millionth time, dot net is in a freefall so it may be a great time to pick up names like this at a discount. 17 years old

GBT.net   Great letters and the LLL.nets seem to have bucked the trend of lower prices for dot nets mentioned above

UKMortgage.com  Not even sure if they call them mortgages in the UK but only one bidder so it’s worth investigating

HowDrunk.com  Not huge value but could be a fun bid.  Only like it because it’s cheap.  No bidders. 12 years old

LaunchGate.com  No bidders.  12 years old.  Good startup name IMO

EB0.com   I am always surprised that despite the zero o confusion these always do well

HYLI.com  Not really pronounceable but pretty good letters for an acronym

YourOwnSite.com  17 years old.  Great marketing name for a website building company

eForum.com  At $150 at press time

HouseCleaners.com   Comes with 50 other house cleaning domains

Savings.net  Another nice net that’s on the board today.  Surprised how many bids this one is getting

ThePizzaMan.com  No bids.  Sure you could get a few hundred dollars to some company with the name

Salary.net  Not quite as much action as savings.net but doing well.

CritterGetters.com  Upgrade name for a few companies.  No bidders

DirectMarket.com  Everyone loves to go direct.  16 years old

DrillTeam.com  What they call the dance teams in High Schools across the Midwest. Only 6 bidders

GooberFish.com  No bidders and that’s because it’s not a real valuable name. But I do love it as a memorable brand

UDegree.com  Second in number of bids behind savings.net

PotFactory.com  Looks like a nice place to buy bulk weed

6820.cc    These have been going for $80 to $100
