1. GoldPay.com sold for $64,000
You can see the login screen below, but it doesn’t reveal too many details. Their user agreement references transferring “Goldeqs”, which presumably is some type of virtual currency. The domain is under privacy protection, and it has an Alexa rank near 13 million.
2. FreeVideos.com sold for $42,500
You get what you’d expect at the site, with video types ranging from comedy, to animals, to sports, and everything in between. Alexa rank near 1.6 million. The owner is under privacy protection, but a link from the link refers to Flora ICT, which is “a Dutch company located in the city of Haarlem, near Amsterdam. Having many years of experience in online marketing, the team behind Flora ICT knows exactly how to manage high-traffic web sites that are visited by many users every day.“
3. Fixed.com sold for $40,000
A huge upgrade in domain from GetFixed.me. The $1.2 million they raised in funding in July of last year helped pay for the domain. They provide a service to help you get out of parking and other types of tickets. Their site says over 60,000 tickets have been submitted to them, and they state a 90%+ success rate. Alexa rank near 900,000.
4. ShopTheHood.ca sold for $35,200
Acquired by the folks behind ShopTheNeighbourhood.ca, which is where the domain is redirected. Affliated with the Yellow Pages. “Shop The Neighbourhood is all about supporting small Canadian businesses.“
5. LQZ.com sold for $30,000
Owned by an individual in China, and the domain redirects to laoqianzhuang.com, which appears to be a Chinese language financial news and information site.
5. VeryExclusive.com sold for $30,000
An upgrade from VeryExclusive.co.uk, which is where this domain is redirected. “Launched in February 2015, our mission is to showcase only the very best ‘walk over hot coals’ pieces from over 100 of the world’s most coveted fashion and beauty labels”.
7. L2O.com sold for $24,000
No site exists on this LNL.com, owned by an individual in New York.
8. Stream.org sold for $20,000
Traffic leader for the week, with an Alexa rank near 150,000. “The Stream is a national daily championing freedom, smaller government and human dignity. Offering both original content and the best from across the web, The Stream challenges the worst in the mainstream media while offering a rich and lively source for breaking news, inspiration, analysis and entertainment.”
9. HomemadeTube.com sold for $15,000
The domain redirects to HomeCam.com, which is an adult site.
10. KXR.com sold for $14,992
Currently owned by an individual in China and not site exists. This domain would fetch 2x or 3x the price today on the wholesale market.
