Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday August 15th, 2019

Escrow.com

Today’s a special day in my household. My Mother in Law and my Dad have birthdays. Both born on the same day same year. That’s special in its own right to have to people meet and their parents were born on the same day. But that’s not what made it special. What made it special is that during this past year our parents were completely healthy and were suddenly stricken by auto immune diseases. Different kinds. Different ways. Different times but the results were similar. Both were given days to live and on life support. By the grace of God both made a slow and steady recovery and are in good health and with us today. Probably not going to be participating in the family tug of war anymore but both with us and can walk up and give us a hug. So its a very special birthday.

When I talk about Godaddy having a shitty backend and costing us money and feeling like Godaddy knows they have a problem but not 100% dedicated to fixing it (my commission account rep Nicole has been amazing though) , I know that in the realm of what’s important its not. Its side money that I don’t get that I feel I earned. But I would give up all the money I earned to have another year with my parents. I get that this year and its not something I take for granted. Problems that money can solve aren’t real problems. Doesn’t matter if you have the money or not. You can’t buy your parents back. So use this as a reminder to call you friends and loved ones for no reason. There is no excuse not to. Busy is another word for don’t care. Because we all know that no matter how busy we are we make time for the things we REALLY want to do. I am reminded of this often by my wife. She reminds me that if a friend wants to go to a race in September, my schedule becomes open. But if she asked me to go to a coworker of hers for dinner, I suddenly can’t get out of work. Make time for people. It will serve you well

Now. Back to the Godaddy thing. We’re not getting paid as often as we should for doing this list. If you want to help you’re going to have to clear your cookies and then click through. Godaddy is doing something , we don’t know what, in your cookies to get you a Bad Gateway. That’s just a guess. In court I would say I have no idea but its screwing everything up. But clean cookies seems to be much better. You just shouldn’t have to. Click away

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

  1. Yes, life can take a turn very fast.

Extremely off topic: Shane, what is your current view on Epik? You weren’t too happy about Monster after the New Zealand incident, to put it mildly.

What about now when he is so active at NamePros and seems to be doing a lot of good things for domain investors?

And I wonder if Braden Pollock took your advice and left Epik?

    1. Still not a fan of Epik or Rob. He was nice enough to send me an email saying he was thinking of suing me for the things I said but decided not to because he’s a nice person. Which I thought was ironic that I would be sued by a person promoting freedom of speech I’m glad he is helping domain investors but he should. He runs a company that caters to domain investors. He also is trying
to prove he is a decent person. I can’t speak for Braden. All I can say is he’s a friend and I appreciate the good conversation we’ve had about Epic, domains, and life in general

      1. Thanks for your reply. Yes, what a gesture not to sue you 😉

I am asking because I have a hard time making up my mind about Epik. Some good things, but also quite a few weird things about them. It seems like Rob is in a real hurry to have investors move their portfolios over to him so he can appreciate the value of the company and then sell. But I could be wrong of course.

    1. Thank you Raymond. Happy Birthday. As I said, some of the finest people I know were born that day. You’re just making that statement stronger 🙂
      🙂
