The Daily Recap of Shane’s Auction Picks, the 24th of May 2016
According to my transfer specialist at Domain Name Sales or Uniregistry Market, my .LY domain was the first .LY that they’ve ever sold. I’m a little surprised by that. I finished the transfer today, and it’s a little different than any other process. The buyer had to create an account and request a transfer for the name. Then register.ly sent me that code and a link to approve the transfer. There wasn’t any problems and the buyer got the name.
Like our Facebook page when you get a chance. I updated it today and all of the DSAD posts should pop up there. So if you’re an avid Facer, you’ll be able to see anything new that’s published.
Pagex.com 19 years old. Several bidders are thinking what I’m thinking. Nice tech name and short.
4,400 USD PageX, sounds mysterious like the xfiles.
2425 USD It could be DC Drone, but they really discourage drone use in the District
DogPotty.com I am seeing more and more of the dog poo platforms that let the dog take a dump right there in the house . Some have real grass, some fake. And they sell, but that doesn’t make it less crazy. 17 years old
1,100 USD More power to them if they can train the dog to use it. My dog is old and has trouble making it out the door.
KeepOnKeepingOn.com Not sure if the G is supposed to be there but love the saying. Joe Dirtish
QuickCharter.com Avoid the ridiculous lines at the airport. Charter a jet
339 USD I’ve flown charters several times, the crew was Russian and I’m pretty sure they were drinking vodka the whole time. The Charters were out of Dubai and when we got to the destination we corkscrewed from altitude to the runway. Not a fancy plane just a regular old 737. What was the airport? You get 3 guesses.
CompassUK.com One bidder. Most obvious user is the UK company Compass Group
i4o.com I’m missing something. I realize its nice and short but getting a hell of a price
AYED.com Getting all the bids because its a popular Middle Eastern name
2030 USD I thought it was the past tense of a sailor saying yes.
ExpertBuilders.com Because “ThisIsMyFirstHouse.com” just doesn’t draw the same crowd
1,009 USD With this name it doesn’t matter if you’re an expert or not, your name says you are. If my email was firstname.lastname@example.org you’d be like, “Hey that guy can sure build”.
TheCakeHouse.com No bidders. Upgrade name for quite a few places that share the name
176 USD Seems like a delicious house.
PHDShop.com 12 years old. A ton of companies called PHD that you can shop at
TacoGrill.com Same here. But I like Mexican better than cakes
909 USD mmmm delicious grilled taco’s topped with cilantro. Cilantro taste like summer.
WeWillBuyYourHomeForCash.com Long but its exactly what all the signs say they will do. No bidders at $12
GetItDoneQuick.com No bidders. Marketing name for anyone that emphasizes how fast they can do a project
? I like it, I think it’s a good name, even at 4 words it’s memorable.
WTEX.com Your home for the best Tejano music in Texas
? I bet they would like to have this.
FlexName.com Not a ton of value but nice name if you’re in our biz
? The generic brandable that can be anything
SayHowMuch.com My safe word is “again”
? About Yea long
GardenArts.com I understand the value. Represents the artistic value of a beautiful garden
675 USD I have a small garden, it’s not very artful and is overrun with raspberries and small silver maple trees. Silver maple trees are the devil.
YNUL.com I set a few LLLL.coms outside your door in case you need a few to snack on
VAZZ.com No reserve. A few businesses already have the name and a few more will think of naming their company it
1850 USD Good name, worth more IMO
GORD.com No reserve. Short and well, short. Good enough
4000 USD Hey Gord, or almost fat in Spanish, almost as in missing a letter.
LetsGetTogether.com Great dating site name yet nobody cares
