Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday February 26th, 2018

I spent hours putting in and pricing all my names on Afternic yesterday.  It wasn’t my plan but I got a little quick on the buttons and erased my portfolio.   I decided to put ALL my names in to Afternic and when I uploaded it I overrode my old names.   I had more new names than old and I needed to update the prices anyway so I started over.  I had about 600 names to put in and price.  So I did.

I had a method to my madness but I would be lying if I said that if I did it twice the prices would be the same.  I would say that 75% would be the same and the rest would be different.  I had a price pattern but I veered off here and there.  I have a good number of so it made it easier as I had certain prices for certain letters and ending letters.  Generally about 6 times wholesale price.  I didn’t get greedy but I did need to consider replacement cost and cost of names that weren’t selling.  My portfolio is supposed to be each name should support itself but we all know that we have no idea which domains are going to sell so whichever name sells has to pay for the others.

We’ll see if it makes a difference in sales and I am 100% it will.  Why?  Because I sold exactly 1 name though Afternic last year.  Everything I sold came through email and a few through Efty.  I set the bar very low on Afternic and that was my fault though pricing.  I changed the pricing on the lower tiered names to start moving some of the names.  After taking a good hard look I realized that many of my names didn’t deserve the highest price and needed to be lowered.  So I did.  I will probably be rolling in money in the next few months 🙂  Here are today’s names, Click on them for current price

Quote of the Day:  “People’s minds are changed through observation and not through argument”  -Will Rogers

Domain of the Day:  The VR brings up the price a bit

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction   Ends early this morning.  Very very nice CVCV     Good letters and a low reserve.  A good combo    Unless you’re bidding over $50K its for show.  Reserve is above that  Same here.  I only see Friday  I have been buying these names for a while.  Unfortunately my sales are usually to other domain investors but they have all been for profit because they have always grown in value   Going to sell because its met reserve.   Good name for our industry    The perfect tld to go with the keywords.  4 bidders   A lot of servers need to be maintained in the crypto space.  Except the ones mining with your computer

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids   Sounds like a bar but could be a brand for many things  1998 birthday. Great Western letters.  I will guess over under of $580 Great patterned  Looks like no reserve or met reserve because its going to sell   Too generic for me but I can see why the bidders like it   The first two letters of AD are making this a four figure auction  All about going green right now.  I’ve always been green.  Just waiting for everyone to join me  The Internet loves three things cures, simples things, and cute cat videos  Don’t even try and outbid Adam Strong on this one.  But he already owns  You already read my opinion piece on smiles and teeth   Zero at front great, back is meh.  Will hit four figures   You can provide…….well, website details  Already over $400 and much better than the other name.   Super luxurious , super deluxe  You go girl   Surprised how high this one is  This would have been four or 5 figures back in the day  Seems to millions of them on Twitter

Godaddy Names With No Bids  A product name all the way.  Something that protects you from the sun or shades in some way I’m going to admit I giggled on this one because my wife used it when talking about the USC cheerleaders Not much value but I like the name.  No bids at $12  Our hospital has a clinic with this exact name.  People that are dizzy always have some sort of problem but they can be so many things. But all of them are serious  As good as the Philly sports teams are doing this is as good of a time as any to start selling Philly wear   No bids on this Mobile is all about the thumbs.  No bids at $12  Maybe not the best keywords to put an e in front of but could work.  No bids  The only bitcoin name I saw that didn’t have a bid
