Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday August 6th , 2018

I’m in my final weeks before my daughter goes to school and the next chapter of both of our lives starts soon.  I think I am most proud because of all the people that tell me what a great kid she is.  She knows how to talk to adults.  She is funny.  And is respectful.  And it was easy raising her that way.  The best way to make sure your kids become good adults is to be a good one yourself.  A kid that sees you treating women with respect will think that is how you do it.  They follow the examples of their parents.  Parents create the norm.  Having two parents that love you is a pretty good start to life.  You can raise great kids with one parent but having two different personalities leading the way is nice.  Seeing your parents in love, enjoying each others company, keeping the laughter to a maximum and the fights to a minimum, shows them what to look for later in life.  That happiness is the norm and what you search for.  There is no sit down and preaching about what to do and not do.  Setting a good example covers 95% of things.   With the occasional talk when things go a little off plan.

You trade in a lot when you have kids.  Time and money.  Success is great but if you want to really impress me, be super successful all while being a big part of your kids every day lives.  That is a whole new level of hard work.  Being responsible for yourself is tough enough but add a kid or two and life gets interesting.  Throw in the 3 year old throwing up in your car 20 minutes before a big meeting or a kid that needs to be taken to soccer practice with both parents trying to build careers.  Take $200,000 in college expenses off the table for each kid and hundreds of thousands of more to raise them and free cash becomes a little harder to find.

I write this not to brag but I am certainly proud of what we did.  Even if I cheated a little and only had one.  It can be done as long as you’re willing to sacrifice other things that occupy your time.  I plan on seeing many more successes but you have to take each one in and celebrate them.  This month I am celebrating.  There will be a trail of tears as I drive away from Syracuse.  It will last hours, days, and probably months.  But again, there are many more celebrations to come.  And I will share them whether you want to hear them or not. Because my daily article is about domains but its also about life.  And last time I checked, we all have one. Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Quote of the Day:  “Four or five moments – that’s all it takes to become a hero. Everyone thinks it’s a full-time job. Wake up a hero. Brush your teeth a hero. Go to work a hero. Not true. Over a lifetime there are only four or five moments that really matter. Moments when you’re offered a choice to make a sacrifice, conquer a flaw, save a friend – spare an enemy.” -Abraham Lincoln

Domain of the Day:   Nice to see the good letter approaching $2K plus on occasion

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction  Damn these things keep going up  And this should do even better  e-Sports are driving gaming price up…..a little   An old D & D term.  A race of small people   Obvious use.  Hard to compete agains MailChimp and Constant Contact     Hundreds of thousands of them around the world  Actually a fortnite term.    When a big streamer goes in unnoticed.     A good name for a forum discussing treatments of some type  No bids at $1.  Sounds fertile

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids   I have just never had any luck with these super generic domains.  Their old but tough to brand.  Anyone else had any recent success ?  I think all the bids are for the Trulia typo.  Although Godaddy shows no traffic   20 bids at $350 at press time.  X is a great placeholder   Another with a few bids   Millions of Google results for this item.  Black truffle oil seems to be the most popular   Gets tens of thousands of visits per month.   That is bringing in the bids.  Not the x’s      and     A bit generic for me but it has bitcoin in the name   Same concept here.  Coin  Godaddy likes this one more than the bidders    Media and Capital names seem to be second only to Bitcoin and Canna names  Sounds home made but we know it will be made in a factory

Been a while since a large group of came through. Today is the day  This is my second choice

Godaddy Names With One or NO Bids  Sounds like the 90s domain that it is Organic performance product.  Only one bidder  I don’t usually buy LLLL.nets but this one is pretty nice I’m going to buy this and send all of you emails like “Thank you for your recent purchase”   Nice fruity brand for under $20   Color noun make great brands.  This is easy to say and spell.  No bids   Not sure what it would be used for but sounds like a marketing company to me

  1. Funny I thought BuzzKeeper .com sounded like a bee keeper or honey company or something

  2. From a Dad that raised 3 daughters, your quote; “The best way to make sure your kids become good adults is to be a good one yourself.” Is dead-on! Congratulations!
