Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday May 27th, 2019

To say that the weather has been volatile and unusual in the Midwest this year would be an understatement.  It has rained every 3 days for a few months now and the temperatures go up and down like a yoyo.  High of 55 with 20 mile an hour winds one day and the next day its 90.  Last night we had a storm roll through that they said had 55 mph winds but I would easily say it was double.  Looks like a bomb went off in town and a lot of the tallest trees in town blew over, roots and all. The perfect combination of wet ground and high impact winds.   Everyone was asleep so most of town wasn’t awake or even expecting it.  They woke up to no power, trees on their houses and cars, and fences laying on the ground.  A lovely way to spend Memorial Day weekend.  Cutting and picking up.
Of course I was worried about the nursery.  The day before it was 90 degrees I had to remove the plastic from all the greenhouses because customers and staff were getting overheated.  I didn’t have time to put the shade cloth on yesterday and of course the worst possible scenario happened.  I had all 200,000 small pots of flowers scattered everywhere.  It was bad but really nothing permanently damaged.  Just a few hours of picking up.  Fortunately customers rolled in like nothing happened. Because to 90% of the town nothing did happen.
