Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday May 17th, 2020

Evidently I didn’t get . If you don’t pay at Dynadot in 48 hours then they throw the name back. I didn’t pay. I thought me card was on file but evidently it was 3 deep so it didn’t get charged. 48 hours to me is a pretty quick time period. My emails are so deep at the nursery I missed it but its not a big loss. I have the dot com and that’s what matters.

I’m not usually the kind of person that gets caught up in the logo before I have the product and business set up. That’s for the dreamers who usually print T-shirts and then abandon the business. BUT I couldn’t resist getting some hats and shirts out for BeeHouse. The customers at the nursery love it so I am going to have a full run of hats and shirts before I even have honey. It may pay for the production. Here’s the logo. We have some a few variations of it with the honey drop yellow and a few other things but all of them have sold well and I don’t even have honey yet :0 . I’ll give away a few hats in due time.

Domain of the Day: No bids. Pretty good mantra for $12

Quote of the Day: “These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.” –Najwa Zebian Names at Auction or Dropping This one is exceeding even my expectations I like this one as much. When you gonna get here? Scott may want this Two letter vc has to have some good value. We’ll find out I think this could be a high end price for a dot gg

Namejet and Sedo & More Domains at Action No reserve and 1999 birthday. I am always long of Cooking and Foodie names Sounds like the 1999 domain it is. Also sounds like a VC company. No reserve Help them find someone It has a pretty good reserve but I think its probably worth it Not sure if it has any value but I love it and certainly memorable . 21 years old alright bro The singular would add a zero to the price IMO One bid at $79. 16 years old There are some orthopedic surgeons that should want to own this one. NO bids Worth more than the current $150 in my opinion Same here, only opinion

Godaddy Domains With Bids Top number of bids on the list today. The history is bringing in the big bucks. But not as much As this one. 8.9 million backlinks will do that though Sounds like a shared office space. That’s not going so well right now though Keep everything on the downlow I names aren’t as popular as before but a big keyword like this is the exception Great marketing name if this is what you do. They’ll remember this more than your name most likely A good start is don’t cost anything One more where the history trumps the value of the name Original Gangster 5 Already a video game series. Sounds like a math term This is where Camel Casing comes in MiToken is what people are bidding on and Great marketing names if this is your field. Geek and Nerd names always seem to sell well at expiry auctions. Nice little 5L for the price Boom Fun build out. I feel like there is going to be poop and throwup

  1. I got suspended from bidding at Dynadot for non-payment…multiple times. For whatever reason I didn’t have my card on auto-pay. I was lazy and never on top of things. It’s embarrassing being ‘that guy’ who doesn’t pay. The good news is these were low value auctions not hundreds or thousands. Then I forgot again and was suspended for several months. The thing is it never happened on other platforms, except once at Godaddy after payment didn’t go through. I was devastated because I worked through the concept as the name was expiring, and I made a logo for it right after winning the auction like you did here with beehouse. I don’t plan to develop names I buy (they only remain ideas) since I’m busy with other things, but this application seemed relatively straightforward. I called Godaddy right away but the lower bidder already purchased it, and I paid the ‘$15 shame on me for being a deadbeat’ fee.

Now I keep a small diary. Part of the problem is forgetting to enter reminders on the phone, or not setting alarms right. A diary is much simpler, but I still use the phone for reminders and alarms for auctions unless proxy bidding.

  2. That’s great. How’d / where’d you design it? Count me in for a shirt, I’ll pay shipping too.

  3. Maybe it’s just me, but I wish the bee on your logo would be friendlier. Currently, it’s like “Warning! Bees here” 😀

  4. I think your best recent pickup is definitely the solar homes domain. Had my eye on that too from the newsletter but procrastinated. Nice one Shane!
