Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday October 7th, 2018

Escrow.com

I have been using Escrow.com since I started in domain investing.  At the time they were the only choice.  They were nice enough to advertise on this blog as you can see above, and have for 10 years.  Like Elliot on DomainInvesting said, they are one of the reasons I am able to keep writing.  But they are also one of the reasons I can sell my names.  It gives the buyers a sense of security and trust.  Some may say that if they weren’t around someone else would be.  Maybe, maybe not.  Imagine what it would be without Escrow.com in our industry?  When the other Escrow’s came out like EscrowHill I passed on taking their advertising money.  I did it because Escrow was there before they came and I knew they would be after they folded.  How did I know they wouldn’t last?  They weren’t even licensed to practice in Texas and California.  I needed California to be part of the places I can buy and sell names.  They figured it out but eventually merged, ended, or something. But they aren’t here.  Other bloggers took the money under the premise of “I can’t choose teams because this is how I make a living”  I just had trouble putting competition ads agains a company that gave me this chance to write. I am loyal to that.  Brandon Abbey was the person that originally set up the advertising with me at Escrow.com.  He was Escrow.com but eventually he left and later came in with a new Escrow company.  Payoneer put all kinds of money out but never approached us.  I was going to pass anyway for the same reason as above, I didn’t feel it was right to put a competitor right next to an advertiser that had been so good to us for so long.   I also knew it wouldn’t last.  Unless they got a new name and formed a stand alone entity there was no chance of survival.  Domains only isn’t a big enough business to be a side gig.

I don’t forget people that help me on my journey.  Its why I mention Francois so often. He too played an important role in where I am, where DSAD is.  There are dozens of other people that deserve a mention but this isn’t an awards speech.  It’s to remember to thank those that gave you your chance.  It’s also to remind those that despite the problems that some may experience with Escrow.com, I am sure glad they are there.  They make me much more money securing sales than I ever will with their advertising.  They get deals done. Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

Quote of the Day:  “”Beware the fury of a patient man” John Dryden

Domain of the Day:  Migu.com   Very fine CVCV.com

Namejet and Sedo Names and Others

JX.de   I don’t do German names but based on every sale being five figures for an LL.de lately, this price is “is it stolen?’ cheap

Bovina.com   I think its going to have to be dairy related.  Sounds like the girl in class that lives just outside of town on a farm.  Met reserve

HandMassage.com   Nice marketing name for a company that offers massages. Also met reserve

PositiveStep.com  Definitely a positive name.  Positive names are the best

StaffCenter.com  Good name for the new trend in staff sharing

Vaker.com   Nice 5L.com.  Just depends on reserve

Plantsville.com   I may be a bit biased on this one

SuperiorCar.com  1995 name.  More than your ordinary car

MoonWolf.com  Sounds like a beer so I like it.   No reserve

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids

RealEvents.com  Top price on the Godaddy board today.  1997 birthday

HighFarm.com   Canna name all the way

DataWolf.com  Sounds like a company I would hear advertising on Sirius Radio.  I have no idea why it makes me think that

DoTech.com   Godaddy values it at $7777.   Bidders value it at $1305

VipHolidays.com  Remember Holiday is vacation in the non US world.  Think what VIPVacations would be worth

Lihat.com       “See” in Indonesian.  Not sure that’s what’s bringing the bids

MFFY.com    Chinese CHiP if that means anything anymore

js575.com  None of you are going to buy this but these JS names are killing it. Look at this price

Optilux.com   Sounds like a company named in the 70s

Satory.com   An area in France and a cool sounding brand

Godaddy Domains With No Bids

AdventureAthlete.com  The trend is moving from just normal running to obstacles and adventure racing.  Hiking, biking, water sports, etc

Vibla.com  Nice 5L.com with no bids

GiftoftheEarth.com  Nice name for something all natural.  No bids at $12

CatAndPig.com  Have to admit its memorable

TileSpecialist.com  Upgrade name for several companies that share the name.  Including one in my own town

FlyBurst.com  I hate it when that happens

NearMed.com  Telemedicine.   OK that’s probably pushing it

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
