Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday January 16th, 2019

Escrow.com

Exactly what I didn’t want to happen happened yesterday.  Terrorist attacked a hotel in Nairobi.  Unfortunately its where I am headed today.  It’s not that I am scared to go.  There are safety concerns any time you travel, but I am most concerned because of two things.  One, I don’t want to scare my daughter.  I have only one and we are her family.  She worries more than normal when my wife and I travel together.  Two, my wife has long blonde hair with blue eyes and screams foreigner from a mile away.  She is always hassled in areas of the world where she stands out. I think thats why she like the Netherlands so much.  They would speak Dutch when they came up to her.   As for Nairobi, we aren’t going to change plans much except we are going to stay at the Childrens hospital a little more than I wanted instead of venturing around the city, and then head out after two 2 days to Iten which is in the mountain area.  The smaller village is a long way away from the issues of Nairobi.  Wish me luck.

I’ll be writing tomorrow’s list and then its off and on with Josh and Travis writing more than normal.  24 hours of actual travel time between the 3 planes and bus and cars should have me pretty tired.  I’ve learned a new respect for the people flying into NamesCon from China and Australia.  Pretty rough flight to turn around and go home after 4 days.

And finally, one last thank you for all the domain friends that helped out our Mission HERE .    I doubled my fundraising goal and personally get to make sure the money goes straight to the source.  So far we have set up a scholarship to pay for the education of three young men and women that have been chosen for their running skills but will also now have an education to fall back on.  We hope to set up matching educational scholarships for young men and women in the US that also have need.  The hopes is to have these children connect and write to each other and share their experiences growing up.  We pay for their schooling and they share their experience.  Our board has to vote on the matching scholarships but that is my hope.  I also am bringing something that sounds like a small deal but is almost impossible to find in the villages.  Water line repair stuff. I brought tons of hose clamps and barb connectors.  I see everyone heating the pipes and trying to melt them together to fix the lines.  Things that we can buy easily is a Godsend to them.  So I am bringing a bag of it.  I am maxed out on what I can carry but I took notes last time and now I’m filling the list.  And its because of you all that I can do it. But I am only a part of the team. The doctors are the real heroes.  I am just a tag along that hopes to help a little.

To those that chose not to help.  Hopefully you are giving your time or your money to those in need.  There are many places as good or better than me when it comes to doing good work.  Your hard work and intelligence has gotten you to great places.   I found the only thing better than relishing in my success is to give another person an opportunity they never would have had and seeing them run with it.  In my case in Iten, they are literally running with it.   Have a great day.    Here are today’s names.  Click through to see the current price and to fund this daily list

Quote of the Day:  Success is having to worry about every damm thing in the world, except money.” — Johnny Cash

Domain of the Day:   Songly.comdot ly isn’t popular anymore but dot coms that end in ly still are in demand.  This is one of the better ones

Namejet, Sedo, and other Names Up for Auction

LoanBlock.com   At $1.   Crypto loan domains.   People that are crypto rich are looking for ways to use their wealth .  Or could be the use of blockchain for traditional loans

MHLA.com   I’ve mentioned it four hundred million times. I like LLLL.coms that end in A and C.  And this has the Los Angeles thing going for it as well

GAFU.com   All these have reserves of $2500 to $5K.  I think if they are close to the left side of that range they could sell

Wonderlake.com   Great name for branding. Can be almost anything.  Easy to spell and say

SeizedHomes.com     People love foreclosures.    Just saying you bought a foreclosed house exudes that you bought it a great price.  Uniregistry is high bidder

Biix.com    Like the name but like all auctions, comes down to the reserve

Tractor.org   Met reserve.  A lot of agricultural uses for this one

Price.me   Has a pretty strong opening offer

CookingWithMarijuana.com  A bit long but undoubtedly going to be a growing segment of food

Oxtor.com   Most bids I’ve seen on a Sedo expiring name.  Oxtor studios must want it

Denado.com     A family name but also means “of swimming” if that helps the value any.  Prolly doesn’t

Godaddy Domains With Multiple Bids

MiniCreditos.com  Small loans or “Mini credits” in Spanish.  Godaddy values it more than any name on the list today

PreferredStorage.com  How many storage places does your town have?  Mine has 100 plus

SWCapital.com    Pretty much put any direction or keyword in front of capital and sell it right now

MobileSurgeon.com   Kidney transplant right in the back of a sprinter van

MakeupExpert.com  and  MakeupExperts.com   A great combo available.   The latter being a good marketing name for the billion dollar industry

Croatie.com  Croatia in French

RedIndian.com  Pretty sure this is racist.  You can always keep it at Epik in case you’re worried

VeggieFruit.com     basically a tomato

JSwitch.com  The next release after the iSwitch

Reporo.com  A company in crunchbase

CDaddy.com  Almost anything with Daddy in it is worth owning if its cheap enough

HomesNYC.com  Big enough market that even backwards this has some pretty good value

Smokees.com  Little cigarettes or marijuana or the little hot dog things I love so much

Mingur.com   I like the ming part of it and don’t mind the gur ending part either

UnitedVoice.org  Looks official and that’s what domain are for.  To give you rep and be memorable.   They would think you are a big organization with this name

Godaddy Domains With One or No Bids

TheDeliveryGuy.com  Longer but a really good name for a delivery service. You know exactly what they do

Squeezeo.com  I’ll be adding this one if nobody takes it at $12.  Yes I am willing to go all out at $12

Rupica.com  Nice sounding domain for $12.  My opinion only.  Don’t buy based on my opinion or you will lose all your money and you will have to pick up all the trash bags blown on to the fence at all the local Wal-marts for $8.25 an hour to make ends meet

Kowki.com   5L with no bids at $12

CertFX.com SSL certs or any type of certification

DoubleMarket.com   Not sure what it means but I can spell it so I put it here

PerfectCoverage.com  Maybe a marketing name for an insurance company

LivingStem.com  Stem cell collecting and injections or even cord banking

RapeRoom.com  It’s bad enough that Godaddy doesn’t parse out the word rape but they also give it a nice $1488 value

InstantTitleLoan.com   I see commercials for it all the time so the name has to have some value.  But nobody thinks so

Saleek.com  Looks kind of Middle Eastern but I see the word sale

  1. Be safe.
Nothing more satisfying than getting deep into a charity. Used to wish I had more money for “stuff”…now I wish I had all the money in the world to give away.

Half my life revolves around projects in Ukraine now. It’s why I wake up, not the other stuff.
Let us know when your on a plane home and safe…

  2. Have a great trip Shane. You guys will be fine. Two things to remember: People tend to focus on the one bad thing out of the millions of good things there. Nairobi has over 3 million people and one bad thing happens? You could even go so far as to say it is safer there than most US cities. And two is that security is always heightened after something like that, so you could even say that it is safer than ever right now. Bon Voyage!

  3. Thanks for doing what you’re doing. Safe travels and here’s to the future lives you’ll bring positive change to!
