Domain Spotlight:

Escrow.com

Looking over my website affiliate results for the weekend on Saturday I typed in my name and password and the daily totals were $2600. I usually make $100 or so a day this time of year so as you can imagine I was a little giddy.  I had to know where in the world I had made the money.  The sale total posts about a half hour before the details but I could see that it was made at the Godaddy affiliate. But then I got to thinking. Godaddy gives me no credit for sales over $5000.  Anything over $5000 automatically goes to Escrow.com and they drop the tracking at that point so they don’t pay me. Wrong I know, but what am I to do?  Anyway, I knew that unless they just changed the policy or someone just renewed $26,000 worth of domains that something was wrong.  I still was excited but skeptical.  I went back to regular work and came back an hour later an BAM!!!…it was gone. It wasn’t life changing money but it never hurts to have an extra $2500 in your back pocket for a little extra good times at NamesCon.  And if you saw me and my sports betting at the latest domain conferences in Vegas you know I could have used it. Here are today’s names.

JUNS.com  19 years old.  PR3, lots of backlinks, and getting lots of bids

WICE.com  1996 Birthday.  A lot of places already names this.  A good brand on its own.  Over under $2600 IMO

CISH.com    16 years old.  48 bids

Roof.cc  If you are going to buy a dot cc.  This is the type I think you need to buy.  Doesn’t cost much so the risk is relatively low

ELAY.com  Under $30 at press time

KLDN.com  If you have a K in a LLLL.com, I think the first spot is the best.  Under $100 at press time

MBUD.com  Met reserve at $100. I think it’s worth more

Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day. $10 off PURCHASES OF $50 OR MORE ACOSKS65

DormRoom.com  aka the cell.  A lot of uses for this one.  College kids will buy anything. 18 years old

FunHole.com  18 years old.  Good adult name.   Only one bidder

BeachBums.com  I like the singular better but 50 bidders think its just fine

1934.com   This one is going to do very very well.  Everyone should want to own this one

18990.com  Getting some love because of the round ending

TheCream.com  No bidders.  I think it would make a great marketing name

H15.com   Last time I put it up for auction. If it doesn’t sell I am going to berate it a little bit, put it in an old Cuban cigar box, and bury it in the back yard. Its a great name but it’s underperforming

OUJ.com  Over under $12,600

LIY.net   Three letter dot nets haven’t been great prices compared to the past but this one is a nice one

OEAM.com  All good letters. Under 30 bidders

PAMI.com Did incredibly well the last time it was up for auction

FuelPill and FuelPills.com  No bidders.  At some point there is going to be some brand with this name.  Of course you could start one and beat them to the punch.

  1. Around the 13th of each month CJ runs the billing for the previous month and there’s a bug that will often cause the commission total to double or more for a few hours. Happened to me all the time, after a few times I got irritated and asked them about it and that was the explanation. Their remedy was to tell me not to check stats around that time of the month, lol.
