DomainShane’s BIG LIST of Domain Name Auction Picks: Tuesday, April 21st, 2015

Apr 21 2015

Some interesting names on the list today.  I’ve noticed a lot of people are cashing in their LLL.coms due to the great prices they’ve been getting in the aftermarket.   All assets have these cycles.  We certainly are reaching new highs. In the stock market you want to invest in companies that are reaching new highs.  As long as the fundamentals of the companies are driving those new highs.  Domains are a little different but I do think fundamentals are driving the prices.  There are a limited amount of short LLL.coms and as they get used by a company they are removed from the market place.  Adding to the scarcity.  I don’t see how they don’t continue to grow in price as time goes on. To the point they become like where they become so expensive that you only see private deals take place.   Here are today’s names.   Warren G and God rest his soul, Nate Dogg would have LOVED this name  16 years old.  No bidders.  Solid marketing name for a skin creme  People places and things.  16 years old  Good name getting a lot of bids  Average price is $750 so it has a few hundred to run to reach average  Generic for bacon  Not a true CVCV but the Y actually works in this case  Plural available too. Under $100 and I think you could flip this thing on Flippa.  The have a bunch of drone domain addicts over there  Awesome crowd sourcing name.  Good price under $50 at press time  Under $20 at press time  Not huge value but fun to say and multilingual . One bidder

NEW GODADDY COUPON CODE: $1.99 New Registration Godaddy hitched149   No reserve, at $11   Actually a dictionary name  Two things that are super hot.  Dot io and big data   Ditto on the hot io thing here.  Dot io are best used by tech companies and tagging and RFID is will continue to be incorporated into our every day life.  At $100 at press time  Has met reserve .  Past sales of have been much higher and this Pi. The center of all things mathematics   Not getting many bids despite being the name of a former movie and a pretty known phrase because of that movie  Still way undervalued in my opinion. No way this stays under $20K in today’s market 16 years old and a term that is still used to describe the radio DJs that live off of outlandish stunts and shocking their listeners.  Surprised there aren’t more bidders  16 years old.  At $1.   I enjoy the journey but it’s only because I’m preparing for the finale.  And no way this stays under $10K.  Ends today This makes me think of Folgers. That’s all.  Just wanted to let you know that

SEDO’s Live Auctions Going on Now  19 years old.  I like to enter that zone every once in a while  17 years old.  Big Boy Mountain Necklaces.  They are very cute  Surprised this has only one bidder.  Now two  Great marketing name for a pool company regardless if this is their name or not.  As long as they have a guy and he does pool work  Home owners association something.  30 bidders  What everyone wants to be. Maybe not everyone but most people.  No bidders Opening bid is $149 and I think it may be worth it.  Not enough to make the bid though
