DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday, April 18th

Apr 18 2016

There’s a new Domain Sherpa show today.  I think you’ll like the show again even though the submitted list is not one of the better lists we’ve seen.  And maybe the worst.  But you learn from mistakes. Even if they are not your own.  Let me know what you like and don’t like in the comments.  I’m always interested to hear opinions.  On a side note, the Ha.com action ends tomorrow. I am not in the loop aka friends with Aron  and have never received any PR or info about it so I can speak freely.  One, although the buyers fee is norm for art and collectibles auction houses, I think it hinders the prices the sellers received.  essentially 30% or more is being paid on top of the price the seller gets.  Prices should be 15% higher than a normal auction for the seller to be better off selling there.   Two, how does a name like Tartan Jacket get put in that auction?   Great names all around and then that one.   Sounds like a friend name to me.   But overall, quality names run by quality people.  The results are the measure though.  And we’ll find that out tomorrow. Here are today’s names. Click to see current prices

SiteFinders.com  20 years old and 18 bids.   Helps you find sites.  That might be obvious

ProDesk.com  19 years old.  A PR4 and bids have hit four figures

LoanAPRCalculator.com    Millions use them every month

OregonHunting.com  Surprised it has no bidders.  17 years old.  Hunting is big in Oregon.  Don’t let the Portland granolas fool you

TVJM.com    TV and a CHiP

Hatebook.com  So negative but sounds fun

ISZ.co and FZE.co   Dot co is slowly fading.  I was a buyer but now I’m a holder

686808.com  Some are calling for the end of 6N.com. I don’t agree.  I think it is worth more in the future.  Just my opinion.  Don’t buy on it or you will lose money

77NF.com  Double letters or numbers are always worth more

77F.com   take out the N and see how expensive it gets

ShoePit.com  I feel like someone is going to name a site or blog this

InternetPropertyGroup.com  Good name for a business in our industry.  No bids

Mountaineer.net   Like most gear and clothing, mountaineering clothing is more for fashion than for function

Pains.org   I say it once a week.  People will pay and do anything to get rid of pain

Solicitors.net   19 bidders think this have value

FDFT.com  Western CHiP that’s doing better than most

YBDP.com    Probably best known as the airport code for the city Bridport in Tasmania……or not

WPSR.com    We certainly have no lack of good LLLL.coms today.  And this one is 20 years old.   Was probably the call letters of some station

Antidepressants.net   Tens of billions spent on these.  Being part of billion dollar businesses is a good thing

CBMH.com  More great letters here.   Enduser name

HDNX.com    More Chinese here and my guess is that the Western LLLL.coms will do better because of

QuadPremium.com   Half the names above

EducationScholarships.com    Every kids of athletic scholarships but education scholarships are the real prize

CloudUnlimited.com   Unlike 3dprinting and bitcoin names, cloud names seem to keep selling

Kuyl.com  The kuyl way to spell Cool

Ha, ha. I love the description in the auction for TartanJacket.com that translates to “we don’t know what to do with it, but maybe you do.”

TitanSilver.com is also in that auction. I wouldn’t call that one a “great name” as well 😉
