DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday January 9th

Escrow.com

Today is a big day in my family.   Some of you know, some of you don’t.  I was raised in Tuscaloosa Alabama.  I have lived other places but its where I consider home.  My father left the family nursery business back in the 70s because it was tough working for his Dad and he needed to see what life was life outside of the family business.  He went to work for Gulf States paper replanting trees after they had cut them down for paper.  He also bought his first home in Tuscaloosa.   Alabama in the mid 70s was all about one thing.  Bear Bryant football. He was dominating college football like nobody had seen for decades.  You can imagine that as a young kid I thought that’s how you did it.  I assumed that you didn’t lose at home because we never did .  Losing at home in front of the people that paid to come see you just would’t be right. I thought that you should play for the national championship every year.  That’s all I knew.  To make it seem even more normal, I joined my first soccer team at the YMCA and by pure chance we had a neighborhood full of talent.  Talent so good that 12 years later most of that team would go on to play college soccer.  Long story short, we never had a goal scored on us and we kept winning and ended up even beating the club teams and winning the Alabama State Championship.  We simply thought that’s what you were supposed to do.  Win

We had no idea that it was an anomaly.  That we were part of a historic time in college football.  But I did know I wanted to come back and go to college at Alabama. My grades and scores gave me an opportunity to go to almost any school I wanted, but I went back to Alabama.  And my friends and family followed me.  My best friend from High School loved it after one visit and enrolled.  My sister visited and decided she wanted to attend.  (she was too young to remember living there).  I even had a girlfriend come to visit and ended up transferring but of course we broke up and thankfully she liked Alabama more than she liked me.  Plain and simple, everyone who visits the campus falls in love with it.

Tonight Alabama tries to continue that tradition.   Coach Saban has joined Bear Bryant in his success but it will take many years to achieve Bryant’s legacy.  The houndstooth went from being the hat that Bryant wore to their symbol and colors. And I was part of all that growing up.  It is part of who I am.  So when people ask why I root for Alabama you now know why. I grew up Alabama, went to Alabama, and no matter where I live I will always know what it feels like to be around success and what that feels like. All because of Alabama.   Hopefully there will be more success tonight.

One a side note:  If you need a ticket to Namescon I received an email from someone that has a ticket but is not going to be able to go.   Contact us if you are in need

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. 1. Yeah, I don’t get why Frank is willing to pay $1K for insectspray.com. Bugspray.com I can see but this is a $69 name to me.

  2. Ffof.com was best of the lot. But, hard to convince ppl to shell out money with a vowel in it. Chinese effect ? 🙂
    Bidding at $200!! That’s absurd.
