DSAD.com: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, May 19th

Escrow.comYesterday, Raymond reported on Shane Bellone leaving the domain industry and moving into something else.    Shane was still in college so I figured once he graduated he may take a “real job”.  Domain investing is a tough way to make a living.  Very few can do it long term and do it well enough to pay all their bills.  Its even tougher to have started in the last few years.  Most got in when they could make a living on parking alone.   I see a lot more people living the industry now that the easy money of the last year has faded.   There are very few advertisers so blogging isn’t much of an option either.  It’s pretty back to buying and selling names the old fashion way.

From the comments alone there seems to be animosity towards people in the industry that are public figures but nobody seems to want to name names.  A lot of names called and hinting towards accusing some of scamming people or at least pumping and dumping.  But again, no names because I’m pretty sure they would open a slander case if they actually named names.   Like all businesses I take part in, there are those that I will do business with and those I won’t. All based on my personal dealings and advice from those I trust.  I admit Adam Dicker was the first I’ve ever gotten wrong and it left me with a  shitty taste in my mouth when I found out he took people’s money.  For that alone, I understand why the lack of trust in our industry but again, its no different than any business.  You have to establish relationships that you trust and build on them.  There 10 to one “good guys” to “bad guys” in this industry.  It’s just the bad draw so much more attention.  Here are today’s names. Click to see current prices

StoneyHill.com   Plenty of places share the name.   16 years old and no bids

TVZR.com   With TV in the name I would think it would go for a little more.  But it has the Z which only the Chinese like

MoreInMind.com   I’m thinking in the don’t meet expectations realm but could mean train the brain as well

30Seconds.com   A lot can happen in 30 seconds

SpeedEngineering.com  Memorable name but I don’t want my stuff engineered quickly.  I prefer they take their time

Rehabilitations.org    Good name for a exactly that.  A rehabilitation center.  Although not the easiest to spell

StemCell.us   It’s a dot us but the stem cell will be the center of all medicine of the future IMO

Proust.com  Getting lots of bids.  Can’t believe they’re all because of Marcel

ClearSector.com  Decent brand IMO.  one bidder at $12

JEPS.com  Great letters for an acronym but actually pronounceable as well

ClusterBoost.com   Sounds like a something that is going to make something faster.  One bid at $12

UGPU.com, OXVA.com    Only two lower boats for you today

Liquid.org    I think of domain names when I see this but can be pretty much anything I guess.  I wanted to buy it but already above where I need to be

Namie.com  I figure a few of you would like this one

EMarketings.com   Already has a nice price.  17 year old marketing company name

CodingSchool.com  Everyone has ideas.  Very few can code

FOR OTHER GREAT NAMES FOR SALE MAKE SURE TO VISIT CAX.COM

Fagy.com  Already at $2500.  Fake CVCV

Implants.cc  You know I like .cc.   I think this is a great buy for a plastic surgeon.  Costs him less than the saline he puts in the boobs.  No bidders

Lows.com  I don’t want to hit them

GetCredit.com    You’re going to need to borrow money at some time

BananaSplit.com Love the name but never going to meet reserve IMO

TPID.com    Great letters which seems to be public info since it has 78 bidders.    These used to be a steal when everyone was concentrating on CHiPs.  Now everyone is back realizing they need western letters again

Polk.co   Getting a few bids because its a popular last name which leads to a lot of places and things sharing the name.  And Polk County

uHard.com   Porn name all the way.  Let me think about it again, yup.  All porn

AQEB.com  Means something in Hebrew

HOAE.com   Home Owners Association Something

JellyBean.net    Everyone loves Jelly Beans

Stockbrokers.org   Great CPC and lead gen possibilities.    Name gives you credibility immediately

MGWO.com   Good letters but not getting many bids

Veggie.net    We all know how hot green, organic, and vegan are.   Veggie fits that category

Repellant.net  Millions of dollars spent on them in the US alone.  I own the dot org which really has no relevance but like all things Internet you have to turn everything into something about yourself

Turtle.org   Love turtle as a brand.  Dot org is ehh

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. 1. Eric,

Was fine until he called himself “the real Shane’. He’s just a kid. Who he is now and who he’ll be are completely different. I work with enough and have seen enough grow up to know to not take everything that comes out of their mouth seriously. They are growing up in front of you and you just have to accept that and play along. 🙂 Nice to be solo again

  1. Thanks, brother. I have enjoyed the banter. I wish you and your family well.
