Domain Spotlight: Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday, November 30th

I’ll open today’s post with a story.  A friend of mine was going through a very tough time. He is a
good friend to a lot of people and everyone one wanted to do something to help.  Nobody knew what to do and many said
“If there is anything I can do to help just let me know”  As expected, this person was struggling as it was, and the fact
that others wanted him to tell them what to do bothered him.  He didn’t want to hurt their feelings but his thoughts were
“if you want to do something, just do it. Anything is a kind gesture. Don’t ask me to ask for help, do something you think would be nice and I guarantee we will be grateful”  Of course he didn’t say it in those exact words but it was something to that effect.   For the first time I saw the other side.  I knew from that  moment that we shouldn’t ask others what I could do to help . People don’t like to ask for help.  But they are always grateful if they are given it.  Now I just do something.  If I bring them brownies and they hate brownies then someone will eat them and they know I am thinking about them.  Because that’s half of it.  Just letting someone you care about know that you care.  In your own little way

But then there is the other side.  Those that want to help but
just don’t know how. You can make others feel better by giving them ideas and letting them help you.  As a person trying to comfort and help, especially as a guy, we are terrible at reading signs and in general, being thoughtful. It’s nice when someone guides us in the right direction.

So where am I going with this?  I think all the above relates to Christmas shopping.  The best gift is often “off the list”.  Something you bought because you thought it would make a nice gift.  Unfortunately it has to be thought out, even planned, and you have to pay attention to the words and thoughts of that person. If you get it wrong, it doesn’t matter.  You bought it with your heart. And for those of you that want to receive good gifts.  Don’t hand a list.  Give good hints. Work it in to conversations.  Make them think they thought of it themselves.  Giving makes people happy.  Much
more than being told what to give.  Let them think they thought of it themselves.

Here are today’s names.  Click for current price.

Domain of the Day:     Teach them to build a great site.  No reserve and at a $1.

Names I Like with Multiple Bids   I saw this one over the weekend and knew it was going to do very well.  And it is  I saw this one over the weekend and knew nobody would ever bid on it.  And they haven’t   Great Western letters. These are the that I think offer value   Don’t get me wrong its a memorable nice name but didn’t think it would get anywhere near this price   Somebody really wants this one   Nice to know that the design was thought out and not off the cuff. 20 years old.    Much better than   Obvious use  Because you know there are several places with this name   19 years old.  Sounds like an old financial business    15 years old.  Witty is better than funny in my opinion.  Over $100 at press time    Great Chinese letters and that’s enough to bring in the bids   The name exudes fresh and clean  Take away relationship and money problems.  Stress solved   105,000 backlinks.  May hit 4 figures  18 years old and $800 at press time  More good Western letters   Not a big fan of ING names but I think it still works in this case  $250-300 name IMO  Not a ton of value but sure sounds like a medicine or lab

Domains With One or NO Bids We all need…..20 years old and no bids Nice 5L for $12. 14 years old 17 years old. New site to tell some one anonymously to kiss your ass. Because in person you’d get squashed “We have the meat AND the gravy” Don’t have to stash it now that it’s pretty much legal everywhere  I like these simple short last names.  Because people use their name to brand things   Not a ton of value but we know what the owner can do   Ever hear the story about the donkey that went on a rampage?   Some of the biggest sites on the net are Food and Travel.  This one has both

6N.coms with Great Patterns

The names below are all triple number patterns and getting some good bids. I don’t deal in 6ns except the very memorable names and these qualify.  Not saying buy, just saying they are moving right now
