Domain Spotlight:

I’m up to about 2500 domains listed with brandbucket. I’ve been consistently submitting names for the past 5 months or so. I don’t know if a lot of people are doing the same thing, put the processing time is starting to get crazy.

The last group I submitted had an estimated wait time of 37 days, though I’ve been waiting over 40 days for the last few groups. I don’t know if I broke the system or what, but I hope they can hire some people or do something to make it go faster.

I bought some credits for SquadHelp, but I’ve only submitted a 2 or 3 names. I don’t like all the extra stuff, I hate jumping through hoops with any platform even if it might help me in the end. For example, they want a description or narrative about each domain. That’s not something I care to do. While I could do it I’d rather spend my time doing something else, like finding more domains and not explaining the ones I have.

I’ll probably burn the credits and just submit names till they’re gone, see what happens, but without adding all the extra crap.

  1. Josh, as of today I’m at 43 days for a few names at BB. And, I agree with you about SH, sometimes it’s just too involved, I just want to list, and be done with it.

  2. There is no reason to use BB.

SH blows them out of the water with PPC advertising and all the other innovations they are doing. I’ve sold way more on SH since they actually earn the commission.

BB just expects domains to sit there and collect money.

I enjoy writing description since I am creative and want to communicate what the usage cases can be. It is easy once you are into brandable domain names.
