I’ve Always Been Inspired by Quotes: Here are a Few of My Favorites

I realize action speaks louder than words but I have still always been inspired by quotes, especially from people that have achieved great things.  My father was the same way.  When he was in his mid 30s I can remember him reading a book of famous quotes aloud to the family and even at a young age I can still remember realizing the meaning behind the simple statements.  Here are a few of my favorites

“Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits”  -Thomas Edison

“Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99% perspiration” -Thomas Edison

“I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work” -Thomas Edison

“Don’t find fault, find remedy”  -Henry Ford

“It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste” -Henry Ford

“Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs” -Henry Ford

“I always knew I was going to be rich.  I don’t think I ever doubted it for a minute” -Warren Buffet

“If past history was all there was to the game, the richest would be librarians” -Warren Buffet

“Its always better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than to buy a fair company at a wonderful price” -Warren Buffet

“The harder I work.  The luckier I am”  -Thomas Jefferson

“Recession is when a neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours” -Ronald Reagan

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing”  -Benjamin Franklin

“Fatigue is the best pillow” -Ben Franklin

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.  Involve me and I learn”  -Ben Franklin

And to keep it in house

“Putting zeros in my bank account doesn’t change my memories or who I am. It doesn’t make me better or make me special”  -Frank Schilling

“A trees a tree.  How many more do I have to look at”  Ronald Reagan  (my favorite because he’s wrong 🙂
