Last Chance To Grab Domains On the Domain Blogger Newsletter: Now With Lower Pricing

We’ll give it one last try.  Tomorrow the list goes out to some of the forums and a few other people that have agreed to share it with their communities.  Before they do I wanted to give you a chance to see if any of the names got any more appealing.  A few of them dropped in price and Crete is still on the board.  Very surprised that nobody has purchased that one yet.  There are a few others that I think are priced nicely.  Regardless, I want to thank everyone for taking the time to look over the list and participating.  Despite the lack of sales it was still a positive event for the community and Francois put a lot of time making it happen.

  1. The concept is flawed… the last thing domainers want to do is sell their domains for low prices to other domainers. I submitted a domain but it was denied because the asking price was too high. No point in submitting a premium domain for a fixed price that is extremely low. At least with an auction you could have potential upside.

    1. Ron,

You may be right but going to finish it out anyway. Feel free to put your domain in the comments and the price you submitted and let the public decide if they think it would sell to anyone but an end user. I’m not saying that in jest. I really have no idea which domain was yours. I DO appreciate just the fact that you submitted a domain.

  2. I think it’s totally a worthwhile endeavor, hopefully this happens every year, or maybe two or three times per year. It is a positive event for the industry and maybe could evolve over time with some different ideas.

It gives domainers a chance to move a domain, even at a lower price than they may want, it still raises cash. It also gives domainers a chance to get some deals. I’m surprised a few more names didn’t sell, maybe with the reduction more will.

  3. I think pricing is still a bit to high for what domainers are willing to pay, some of the 2l .tv’s are high, I know lv.tv sold to end user for $3k a few months back, but maybe a promo like price reduce till sold might work.

  4. Okay:

    GoldBangles.com $18,000 SOLD
    Winy.com $6,200 SOLD
    TravelForFree.com $2,600 SOLD
    ImpressFriends.com $390 SOLD

Nothing to sneeze at! Good job! Congrats! 😀
