One of my favorite names of the year, HealthScan.com went up for sale yesterday and it was one of those bad timing names. It’s always the same case. A name you really want comes up for sale and the timing isn’t right. I am doing taxes and that always puts up a barrier for spending during that week as you figure things out. I pay quarterlies but I don’t keep a very good running total on overall profits. I don’t have a paycheck now so I live on yield and profits. They come from a lot of different directions and the spending is always moving as well. Essentially I just keep the bills and taxes paid so the amount in the asset accounts represent how well I’m doing because I know (or I think I know) that come tax time, I’m all paid up. But you never feel comfortable until they are done and filed. In short, I would have had to move some money around. Between that and the taxes not being done it provided just enough mental barrier that I didn’t bid higher. Deeply regretting it now. I think HealthScans are the future for baseline health and of course diagnosis.
