Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday, January 11th, 2023

So I did what most people hate doing. I sold a car privately. Now selling a car is a pain in the ass because you have a ton of inquiries and people want to drive it and inspect it. Then they want to lower the price because things are wrong with it even though the reason the price is where its at BECAUSE there are things wrong with it. Mine was worse because it was a 2006 car with a ton of dents in it.

It was my daughter’s car from High School and College. I’m sure she hit or took a hit from every vehicle from here to Syracuse. And it came with dents when I bought it. It really has been a great car and Subarus are pretty tough and incredible in the snow. I thought my description sold the car. I was very honest but also kind of funny in the description. I put the good things about it and every problem. I wrote funny descriptions about the bad stuff so it was accurate and true but I lightened it with some humor. On the very first day, I had 55 people who said they would take it without seeing it. A good family Facebook profile helped. Having a mechanic keep it drivable for my daughter and keeping all the paperwork also helped. I ended up selling to a person that was a nice guy and going to fix it up a little and drive it in the winter. He bought it because I said it was great in the snow and the heater was the best car I’ve ever had. Both are very true. He came with cash, I gave him the title and a bill of sale. It honestly took me longer to tell the other 54 that wanted it and the other 40 that had questions that it was sold than it did to actually get him the car.

I have a few more to sell as I open the garage. Tired of having these old cars around. I kept them for employees that needed a car while they were being repaired. There was always someone. Now that I’m retired and not there I figured I would let the two cars go. I also need to sell my main car as I want to get a new daily driver. Not sure what that is and my daily drive is pretty much nothing now that I’m retired but I’ll get something by the end of the year.
