It’s been a great learning lesson setting up the processes and tools for Winterline. Every AI company is saying they are the next Apollo and the next HubSpot, but in reality they aren’t. If anything, they are making them more powerful as top layers. Nobody has the dataset that Apollo has except for ZoomInfo, and they are $15K or more a year. The others have some, but they are scraping, and it’s nowhere near as robust as the decades of compiling data, good or bad, that comes from users’ emails. Proprietary data is the hardest thing to match.
As far as delivering and managing outbound, they are great. Sleek and easy to use, but you have to have an email that works. When I dug deeper, so many are just filling the new AI tool with their Apollo feed, which I’m sure they can scrape as it’s sent. I haven’t seen exactly how it works yet because Apollo still gets it done. I’m sure for general use all the lead finders and email delivery apps work well. Clay works much better when you throw it on top of other things.
On a completely different note, a reminder that Winterline gives finder’s fees. If you give a lead that leads to a sale, buy or sell, we’ll give you a cut of our commission. If you have someone looking to acquire an asset, domain, social media, newsletter, or SEO work, email me. If you have a person looking to move an LLL.com or a quality name, I’m all ears. I have the shane@ email address for Winterline.com.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
