I’m sure many of you are like me, in that our spouses know more about domain names than most people in the world. Over the years they’ve probably been asked, “What do you think about this name?” and they get better every year at understanding what makes one name better than another.
Yet even with that, when I tell my wife what I’m paying for a domain, sometimes she says, “Oh boy, I don’t want to know that. That’s more than we paid for our first car.” But when I sell a domain for more than a car, I get a “That’s amazing, great job.” And that’s after 15 years of talking about it every day. It’s become such a regular thing that she understands its a real business but doesn’t really understand why other than it helps a business in marketing and branding.
So she gets it, but still can’t really comprehend the amount of money being bought and sold until tax time. Even then, she sees final numbers measured by the difference between expenditures and sales. She doesn’t really see the total. A number that’s larger than some small businesses.
Ninety nine percent of the world has no idea this business exists, and those who sleep beside us can’t even comprehend it. When people ask my wife what I do, she just says I sell things on the Internet 😂
Quote of the Day: “The best thing to pray for, instead of money and everything, pray for peace of mind. Pursue peace of mind. If you get that, then you got it all.” -Eddie Murphy
Domain of the Day: UrbanNetwork.com Exudes modern, connection, and community. Could be a social network, urban planning, design, fashion. An open vessel

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
