Here’s another edition of “not financial advice” but still telling you what I’m looking at.
Power and Electricity
There has always been a need for power. Now with electric cars and AI, that need is easily 100x what it was. My investments heading into 2026 are leaning heavily toward whoever can help solve that problem.
That includes everything from stopgaps like gas engines and portable energy, to alternative energy, to companies building long term infrastructure. The demand for energy isn’t a short cycle. It stretches out decades.
Because of that, there are companies like Wärtsilä that make engines which do an excellent job of generating electricity. They also build tanker engines, which alone are in huge demand. Add in global energy shortages and they can drop those engines in and get power online quickly.
Bloom Energy is another example. The stock has already had big gains, but their fuel cells are in serious demand and they’re another solution that gets people up and running fast.
I could name four or five more companies, but I’ve picked three or four to go heavy into. I like the setup and I think the outlook is strong for additional gains on top of this year’s run.
We’ll see how it plays out.
Quote of the Day: “The future of civilization depends on how we generate and distribute energy.” — Vaclav Smil
