I can easily say this NamesCon had the best conversations I’ve had in ten years at a domain conference. NamesCon’s contribution was simply hosting it in a place people wanted to go, and where many could drive. People like Kevin Ham haven’t been to a domain event in a decade. He didn’t come for NamesCon, he came because so many people were. So Namescon played a key role
I also have to thank Rick Schwartz for his generosity in hosting a yacht party. Eleven legends on the boat……and me. Joe’s Crab, great food, and one of the best events I’ve been part of in a long time. I also want to mention Drew Rosener. We’ve been friends for a long time, and every time we meet in person I respect him even more. He’s also always generous with everyone on Sherpa. Good meals at the best places and never lets you get the check. Our friend Slavik as well, always one of the smartest men at the table and constantly taking care of dinners. And of course JT, if we lived next to each other we’d be hanging out all day, becoming like a brother.
Everywhere else but here, I’m the guy who picks up all the checks and plays the patriarch. With this group, I’m just one of the guys, and probably the least successful. I like that role. It gives me drive and inspiration. It’s nice to take away the leader role and just hang out.
There were so many people I met and had great conversations with this week. Too many to name, but I’ll contact each of you to thank you. I will mention on person, Ralph Quintero stands out, one of those domain investors doing incredible things outside of domains. Creating and building real businesses. Hard things. He truly understands both business and the power of domains.
Thanks again to everyone who took the time to say hello, shake my hand, and share a bit about yourselves. I’m leaving Miami smiling and taking it all in.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
