Escrow.com is showing signs of strain this quarter, especially in domain transactions. Despite handling a reported $107 million in domain sales during Q1 2025, a solid level, there are private chats that things are slipping backwards already. Turnover has spiked among team members, leaving gaps in experience and available people to help. Which of course leads to slow response times. That churn has 100% degraded the experienc, and pretty much everyone I talk to except the biggest clients have looked for alternatives. There are constant complaints about the slow process. Its blamed on KYC but we know what’s going on. Just follow the career path of your favorite person who worked there. All gone
Registrar platforms now let brokers and sellers bring their own leads directly, bypassing Escrow.com and cutting into their fee-based volume. That shift means they miss out on commissions and lose visibility into high-value deals. Meanwhile, competitors are gearing up to offer escrow services directly in next quarter. If Escrow.com doesn’t fix its employee retention issue and restore dependable support, the quarterly numbers are going to plummet. There are also 4-5 key customers that if they leave, their domain business is an afterthought.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

Your comment on escrow.com is right on point.
Their service these days is nothing to compare to what it was 5 and 10 years ago. Terrible. Their “know your customer” process is inefficient. They also have a whole list of countries blacklisted ( recently added China and Israel), so many of their customers already use alternative channels such as Sedo, Godaddy, Dynadot etc.
