Trav’s List of Domains at Auction for Sunday, October 2, 2022

It is interesting to follow up after domain sales to see what buyers did (if anything) with the domain after purchasing. I’d guess that at least half the time the domain still points to wherever it pointed the day that it sold. I know that it takes a long time to build a business and a website, but I’m talking many months or even a year later. Many buys at the $2k to $5k level seem to be impulse buys which is why it is so important to list your names at Afternic when possible to get into the GoDaddy registration path.

It is more fun to find businesses that were built on a domain after a sale. is a name that I sold last year via BrandBucket that is being used in exactly the way that I thought it should be – something Halloween oriented. I bought the name via GoDaddy closeouts back in 2016 and it ended up taking 5 years to sell, but I knew it would sell eventually. Take a look at the site – I’ve never seen $10,000 giant Halloween figures before. I wonder how many of them they actually sell.

Namejet, Sedo, and Names at Auction This one is interesting to me. I don’t think any ad firm would ever call themselves this, but I think they would like to own the domain. But then, what would they do with it? This is going to do well wherever it lands When regular wealth just isn’t good enough That is as short as it gets Nice keyword

Godaddy Domains With Bids Highest number of bids on the board due to the traffic Highest GoDaddy valuation on the board If the keyword is big enough, even a .info can do well This name gives me medical insurance PTSD Lots of bids for this one, but I’m not really seeing a lot of great uses This will make a great dog site one day Coin anything The sound a person makes after a gut punch This one feels off to me With so many backlinks, I had to see what this site used to be. It looks like it was a site that various death metal bands probably paid something to be listed on to show their upcoming tour dates. I wonder if it is a Covid casualty. Right up the road from me Nice tech name I don’t know – a movement of some sort? I’m a big fan of x at the end names Minnesota ox rancher Better than beauty off I’m also a fan of FX names – fx for effects or forex Pretty much any massage related business would like to own this name, and there are a lot of them I don’t understand the bids / valuation of this one Temporary office space business App review site This is the type of name that could sit in your portfolio forever – not a fan I really like this for a travel site – it has that “road less traveled” feel Anyone want to build out an MMA / Boxing site? Core is a nice modifier for many names Awesome name, but there is an existing trademark for contact lenses Photo app / storage solution Your source for live-in home help. I think this one is being overlooked a bit, because expired domains camel cases it as LiveIndirect which is much less appealing. This one isn’t getting the love it deserves in my opinion This would work well as a self help site Coach the coaches Great e-bike or bike share name

Godaddy Domains with No Bids Rehab people or things and it doesn’t have to be in a place called Aurora either Vitamins and supplements / Eastern medicine / Cannabis 15 million results when you Google the phrase with quotes around it About as awesome a nickname as you can get if your name is Mike I’m thinking a restaurant with a giant pot of soup in the middle of it. It’s the only thing they serve so it must be fantastic. See above – I guess they had the same idea Yes please Tell customers exactly what you do There are juice places everywhere – this is a great name for one of them. Everyone is looking for great valu
