Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday July 22nd , 2018

Escrow.com

I officially declare emoji domains dead.  Maybe not dead but living in a small town in Antelope Oregon with other things that just didn’t catch on like flavored cat water and a bunch of Nintendo Virtual Boys.    Sorry Page.  Sorry Alvin.   They had their time in the limelight but that light has faded.  When your future is based on the .ws extension you were doomed from the start.  .WS couldn’t market themselves well enough to win a High School prom court seat let alone make emojis popular.  Add in that kids and adults aren’t using them in search, only in expressing themselves.  Add in that most keyboards don’t have them.  Add in that they look different in every system and nobody can tell what 90 percent of them are.   That’s all I need to add.   All of it equals a novelty and a collectible. Looks like we’re down to only 1000 emoji.ws registered down from a reported 20K.  It’s falling hard and I don’t see a comeback in the near future.  I hope I am proven wrong in time but I haven’t felt this comfortable in a call since I said that Pearl Jam’s first album 10 would eventually be considered one of the best albums of all time.   🙁

Bidding.  I haven’t bid on very many names this week but one I bid on that I am really kicking myself for not getting is LiveAnalytics.com .   Not only is it a name I thought I may be able to flip but I am also have plans to form a company that tracks race times for runners and provides interesting information a

nd live analytics during the race.  Absolutely perfect name.  I would have paid $1000 plus for the name but I put in $555 and set my timer to come in and sit down for the end of the auction.  Once again I got a customer at the nursery right as the alarm went off and by the time I got to the desk it was minus 4 minutes on the auction.  And it went for under $600.  I should have just put in my high price and left it.  There was no need for me to be there at the end.  Just being dumb and it cost me a name I really wanted.  I don’t have many of those.  I would say live and learn but I have lived a lot and yet to learn.  Here are today’s names. Click through to see the current price

If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. Thanks for the feature Shane. I also like SushiSpace for a niche directory or something similar that aggregates sushi restaurant data from around the world.

  2. Women no longer have hair on their bodies. Except in Portland … You’re a riot Shane, laughed my ass off… 🙂
