Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday May 26th, 2019

Escrow.com

My buddy Mike aka Buttercrackers texts me about Bitcoin and other Fintech because he’s built a solid portfolio of names over the years and pays close attention.  Jokingly, every time he texts I tell him Bitcoin is stupid.  While I know its not stupid, the reason I have no money in it is I have zero idea why it moves in one direction versus another.  Pretty much every single other investment I have I can tell you what makes it become more valuable or less valuable.  For BTC the only thing I only have one reasoning and its the basics. More people want to own it today than yesterday or vice versa.   And like other investments, news moves it.  News like a book on the Winkelvoss twins or a story on 60 minutes.
I realize in theory, all investments are worth more because more people want to own it than sell it.   And positive stories moves many investments.  Stocks go up because high profile people own it.  When news that Warren Buffet bought a stock comes out it goes up.  Confidence in an investment gives it more worth.  So I understand all that.  I just don’t know why I should do anything more than buy and go away because I have no idea what it will do at any point in time.
As for BTC and crypto domain names.   I think there will continue to be more companies entering the market and they will be looking for names so there will continue to be demand for good crypto names.  They defintely pay more for names with higher crypto prices so anyone with crypto names roots for higher prices.  Without any skin in the actual currency I still root for the price to skyrocket because my few names will be worth more and my friends will make money.  Everyone wins. Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD keep on keeping on

  1. That’s exactly what I’ve done. Bought some (money I can afford to lose) and gone away. That’s a legit strategy to expose yourself to the potential upside.

  2. Shane!

Thanks for the shout-out- will be interesting to see where it all goes with crypto and the related domains- today is a good day thanks to your mention I am sure – with BTC up 7%! It’s a fun ride and keeps it all interesting!

    Cheers,

    Mike
