Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Sunday May 5th, 2019

I have to give credit where credit is due.  Mike Fear of Godaddy is an amazing asset to the company.  I sold and name and thought it was going to be an easy push.  Except that it wasn’t.   Nobody really knows what happened, but it just seemed to stay in limbo.   All the proper things were done but it just sat there in the system.  This was Wed, then Thursday.   If you’ve used Godaddy lately you know that if you are not in Beta mode and in original mode ,it doesn’t work some times. Gives you an error if you try and get the details of your name.  In short, some bad bugs in Godaddy right now.  But rather than worry about that, Mike only worried about getting the name transferred.  He was leaving for a long weekend and knew he had to get it done before he left or it would likely linger until Monday.

He literally worked all night until 11:45 pm central to work on getting it transferred.  Called myself and the other Godaddy customer that it was being transferred to until it was rectified.  I felt terrible that he had to work so late but he did what he needed to do to make it right.  Massive kudos to him and absolutely deserves a bonus for what he did and probably does regularly.  He is a true asset to Godaddy and its the reason I keep my names there. Because problems come up.  Always.  You measure by how they are dealt with.  Godaddy’s employees have always gone the extra mile. Adam always did but Mike took it to the next level.  Next up is the back end team working extra hard to make sure he doesn’t have to do that many more times.

  1. GoDaddy seems to have big problems with doing account changes at the moment. I was unable to accept a push a few days ago and needed to approve it several times in my account before it finally arrived.

I also have a good account manager, but GoDaddy seriously needs to improve their own and Afternic’s site.

  2. Nowadays Afternic is the worst domain selling website, they must improve their website, homepage is useless…. They must change everything…
