Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday May 27th, 2020

I apologize but not a lot to say today. The heat and humidity in Illinois kicked up, combined with my new marathon training and I got my butt kicked the last few days. It helped and hurt that the nursery set a new record for the month a May and it was a number we’ve been chasing for 30 years. So it made the hours and focus reach an all time high.

As you all know COVID has any business that deals with improving the home reach record sales. We just happen to be along for the ride. I did make sure that we had sails to catch that ride and the sails got the sales. It’s been amazing, exhausting, and exciting. I always wondered if my business model would scale and I proved it would. Not sure how long it goes or how far but I know it will never be the same because 60% of our sales are from customers that have never been there. They aren’t all coming back but a lot of them will so the future looks bright. I realize its not domaining but it is business. It is money. And that’s what we’re all trying to make. There are just a lot of ways to make it and I don’t mind talking about them.

  1. Congrats on the nursery sales Shane!

Like you say, hopefully many of these customers return back to buy again in coming months / years.

  2. A couple of weeks ago I sold via Afternic BIN.

I had a $1,000 BIN on it and someone snatched it up. I forgot I had it, because I obviously would have adjusted the price.

Now is already up to $9K.

    I want to die.
