Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Thursday, January 7th, 2021

What can you say about yesterday. White House gets over run and crypto goes on historic run. I just ignored the former and kept my head down and worked.

I took a big tax hit on Jan 1st and sold my bitcoin and put it into Link and a little Stellar Lumen. Why those two. I have no idea. The valuation makes no sense to me but I figured Stellar was as close to XR as I could find and thought it might take some of the outflow. And I liked where link was versus the VWAP. (Volume Weighted Average Price ). I woke up yesterday morning to see HUGE gains in both. I sold again for another tax hit and put it back in BTC. Only to watch it run later in the day. I am not going to pretend I have a clue what I am doing but my timing between switching back and forth in crypto has my account up 6 times the original investment. Yes there is going to be tax implications but even after that I’ve traded up in coins big time. AND my original investment was 3 recently sold names so I didn’t put any recent money in. (My was sold for 1 BTC which at this time is now a $37K sale from a $3K investment)

All this being said I really need to move somewhere with better taxes. It wasn’t a big deal when I wasn’t making anything. It’s a problem now. I’m sure I’m going to get a lot of suggestions and I know most of them. I’m probably just going to move into one of Drew’s extra bedrooms or the pool house. I hope he likes dogs.

Namejet, Sedo, and Names at Auction

If you’d like to enter a domain in Sedo’s keyword auction you can do it HERE Taken in 110 extensions which surprised me. I know its a popular term but still more than I thought Could get this with one bid Another rhymer Such a big category that the dot org is worth the $79 IMO I like the metric measurement names. Sold a while back Only taken in 26 extensions? That doesn’t make sense. Has to be wrong More bids than I thought but then Yahoo Exudes fun but that’s pretty obvious
