They say it’s not what you know but WHO you know. Whether you like it or not it’s 100% true. It took a while for me to get past my jealousy of others to realize that the success of these “groups” was simply cases of helping those that help you. A simple idea that is actually how it should be. Of course, as humans, we always want to help others but life is not always about charity. It’s about gratitude. So many people that want help aren’t even putting in their own effort.
I wasn’t a big part of the “web” or web development until I got into domains. While I met a few great development people and business people, for the most part, domain investors are not great builders. They are flippers. When I got involved in NFTs I met builders. I’ve met more great business people and developers in the last year than I did in the last 25 years. I had help with my honey from someone that has built a billion dollar retail product business. He found me the perfect bottle and sealing method. All that is because of an NFT I own. Right now I am in other private groups of builders. One person is one of the leads on metaverse development for Meta and another makes incredible video games. Some you have played.
It IS who you know. Making friends is being a friend. We all have skills. Especially when it comes to branding. We all have great experiences to share. Sharing it with others and bringing in other talented individuals into your circle, makes you better. I know a few domain investors that are lone wolfs. Only domains and are successful. What they don’t realize is that they could be 4X successful if they learned to play with others.
Domain of the Day: TheDab.com Just my favorite. The canna implications and the cheesy celebration move. Such a great name
