Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday, September 20th, 2019

This is about as good a summary of domains as there is. To think there is an absolute in this industry would be wrong. There is a lot of strategy and “rules” that will lead to good domain investments but there is an entire world of just outside the fringe that can lead to good profits and losses. I consider Rick Schwartz one of the best domain investors of all time but of the names he’s purchased in the last 7 years how much money has he made? His strategy is solid. Is absolute. Does it work if you buy the domain today? Media Options and Drew Rosener have proven you can make good money with today’s buys. Same with Michael Cyger. And yes, all these people are dot coms guys. But they will be the first to say MOST DOT COMS ARE NOT REAL VALUABLE. But a ton of them are. MOST NEW Gs ARE NOT REAL VALUABLE. But a few of them are. Those that are successful acknowledge this and can tell the difference.

Domain of the Day: Can’t say I’ve seen a triple repeater, dot com or dot net in years

Quote of the Day: “If this was the best year of my life, what would have to happen?” Comment below and answer this question. I’d love to hear what would make your year

Namejet, Sedo, Snap, and other Names Up for Auction Looks like no takers on this one at $1. 10 years old high CPC Met reserve at $30,000 less than it sold for 9 years ago and Two from Namejet that I’m bidding on today. Its what I think good letters look like Met reserve under $400. Pink is associated with lots of things Digital graphics name all the way First glance I thought it would make a great name for Adam Strong’s company but since he owns I will say he’ll pass Not worth a ton of money but millions of people are worthy members At $70. Solid name IMO for under $200 the concrete edging or curbing business is big in Florida and California. We have a few in our town. Good name for that business Closes in a few days. One of my favorite Snapnames names Closes today. Will get Dizzy autofill every time until you build up a brand so big its commonplace and it becomes the fill Good dot net. Reviews and feedback run the net…and the dot net Under $150 reserve but no bidders Under $100 and met reserve. I like the brand. Usual 16 year old 6L that sounds techy to me. No bids at $79 Pretty sure a lot of people spell it this way. I think it makes a good IPA but some may think its not funny

Godaddy Domains With Multiple Bids

Click names for latest prices and to pay for our efforts Love it. Not sure its a super valuable name but its a super valuable attitude I’m not sure this makes a good company name but it makes a good app or game name and that alone could be a billion dollar venture. Definitely a well known term Solid name for software or app or even an accounting company. And the plus? They also sell bulk fruit Probably a big deal if you have allergies I like it as much as Digital Street Incubator name all the way Straight to the point. We got the good shit We always knew hindsight is 20/20 but now you can get clear Foresight Z makes everything cooler Customers like the thought of Simple. Good sales tool Imagine that. A crypto name getting a good price Imagine if you could get them all in one place A couple of these all around you. A few in our domain space. And I’m not talking about Point of Sales which it could also be used for the best time to buy land is before the highway comes

  1. In practical terms, as it relates to Dunn’s maxim, especially on the NewGTLDs, is akin to saying: “All lottery plays do not miss, sometimes someone wins”, yes that’s true; whereas, what Schwartz teaches in his doctrine, is that .Coms tend to be investable, as he simultaneously, admonishes what he calls “Pigeon shit”, so taken together, there’s a huge chasm between those two philosophies.

Where Dunn is right, and he is on some points, it’s acknowledged, and accepted, by Schwartz.
